What’s a Verified Reader?

Think of it as being part of an inclusive book-loving community where your voice matters. The Canadian Book Club Awards celebrate all published authors, embracing every genre, background, and story—because great books come from everywhere.

As Canada’s largest reader’s choice award, it’s Canadian readers and book clubs who serve as the judges, ensuring every great book gets the recognition it deserves.

How It Works:

✔ Sign up as an individual reader or book club using the form.
✔ Choose a genre you’d like to judge.
✔ November 2025: Finalists are announced, and you’ll receive access to our Verified Reader voting page.
✔ November 2025 – January 31, 2026: Read the finalist books (available in both ebook and physical formats) and vote based on one simple question:
👉 Did I love this book?
✔ February 2026: Winners are announced!

Getting the Books:

📖 Finalist books will be available in both ebook and physical formats. Verified Readers are responsible for obtaining the books, but we’ll provide links and options for where to find them—including local bookstores and libraries.
