All you Need to Know About the 2026 Awards and Submitting Your Book!

Early Bird Pricing: $199.99 CAD February 11 – March 25, 2026
Regular Pricing: $249.99 CAD March 26 – August 28, 2026
Last Chance Pricing: $299.99 CAD August 29 – October 9, 2026

Important Requirements

Before submitting, please ensure your book meets all of the following criteria:

Books must be available in both EPUB and physical formats
You may submit either:
- an EPUB file, or
- a physical book (you must be prepared to send 3–5 copies to Avid Readers in Canada)
Books must be available for purchase on:
- kobo.com
- indigo.com
Ideally, books are also available through libraries and independent bookstores
You must own the copyright to both the book and its cover
Books must be published between 2020 – 2026.
Books must meet the award category criteria (please review carefully before submitting.
If your EPUB file exceeds the upload size limit, submit a placeholder file and email your EPUB directly to marketing@thecanadianbookclubawards.ca

All submissions are read by our Avid Reader Group, who review every eligible book within their assigned category. From these submissions, they select the top three finalists per category.
We’ve updated our submission format requirements to ensure the best reading experience and accessibility for all readers. As of 2026, submissions must be available in EPUB and physical formats.
Once finalists are selected:
- A press release is issued
- Finalists are announced to our Verified Reader community
- Verified Readers purchase, read, and vote on the finalist titles in their chosen category.
